What we collect

KinkLink collects only what is needed to run a quiz session: a display name you choose, your answers to quiz questions, and a randomly generated session code. No email address, account, or personal identification is required to use the app.

How we use it

Your quiz answers are stored solely to compute compatibility results between you and your partner. We do not sell, share, or use your quiz answers for advertising or any purpose beyond displaying your results. We separately collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, features used) via PostHog analytics to understand how the app is used and improve the experience. Your quiz answers are never included in this data.

Cookies & storage

KinkLink uses browser localStorage to remember your role in a session (creator or partner) so you can return to your results. PostHog analytics sets a first-party cookie to distinguish unique visits. This cookie contains no personal information and is used only for aggregate product analytics.

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics, things like which pages are visited and which features are used. This helps us understand what is working and where to improve. PostHog does not receive your name, quiz answers, or any content you submit. You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser settings, which KinkLink respects.

AI Insights

Premium users can generate an AI-powered compatibility summary and exploration roadmap based on their quiz results. When you request insights, a summary of your aggregated results (scores, categories, and matched questions) is sent to a third-party AI provider (Mistral AI) solely to generate your content. This data is not stored by the AI provider beyond the duration of the request and is not used for training their models.

Premium is a one-time $3.99 purchase. If you are not satisfied, email us within 14 days of your purchase and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
